Hey there, book lovers! Hope you’re all having a great start to your reading year! I have another book tag today. No idea who the original creator is, but I found it on Kristin’s blog – Kristin Kraves Books and it sounded so cool that I just had to try it. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Recently Watched
The last book you finished reading

I just finished The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson. This was such a riveting mystery!

Top Picks
A book/books that have been recommended to you
based on books you have previously read

Talon series by Julie Kagawa. Goodreads recommended this to me back in 2016 and I wasn’t all that impressed with the description, but I just started it on instinct – best decision ever. I never thought I’d like a book on dragons who can take human form this much!

Recently Added
The last book you bought

I strictly regulate my book-buying due to serious lack of shelf space, but I did buy the paperback edition of Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas just before Christmas!

Popular on Netflix
Books that everyone knows about (2 you’ve
read and 2 you have no interest in reading)

Read: I’m kind of obsessed with these two if no one’s realized it yet.
The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices & The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

Not Read: These have been recommended to me so many times, but they’ve never really appealed to me for some reason.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

A funny book

Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. Even now, more than ten years after first reading it, I still return to the original series when I feel the need to read a book that makes me laugh.

A character who is a drama queen/king

Henry Montague from The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee. I don’t think I could find a more dramatic character than Monty if I tried.

A book with cartoons on the cover

Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. I read this when I was going through a slew of novels on the contemporary side a few years ago and absolutely loved it!

Watch It Again
A book/book series that you want to re-read

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Ever since reading Miller’s latest novel, Circe, last year, I’ve been wanting to re-read this.

A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone

This is an impossible question for me, since I just don’t read non-fiction. Recommendations?

Action and Adventure
An action packed book

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It’s one of my all-time favourite adventure novels, not to mention that King of Scars is releasing next week!

New Releases
A book that just came out or will be
coming out soon that you can’t wait to read

The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare. I’m currently desperately in need of some Shadowhunter stories following the masterpiece that was Queen of Air and Darkness to hold on until The Last Hours is released later (much later) this year.

I had a lot of fun doing this tag! Have you read any of these books? I’d love to hear what you thought of them! What would be your picks for these questions? Consider yourself tagged!
