Well, it certainly has been a task keeping up with all the new books this month! I’ve read so many amazing books this month, and some that I didn’t expect to enjoy but loved. Red, White & Royal Blue stands out on my list from May, and is definitely making my best of year shelf!
And yes, my wrap up is a day earlier than usual, because I’m heading to my first BookCon this weekend! So that means no review this weekend unfortunately π, but I might do an extra post next week to make up for it.
In other news however, I have reached 74 books on my reading challenge as of this month, and with only 26 to go, I’m hoping to reach that number by mid July so I can raise my goal for the year. And now, without further ado, let’s move on to this month’s wrap up!

And as always, here are my reading challenge updates:
1. Beat the Backlist: This month, I read 5 books from my backlist, finishing one long pending series (Dark Gifts), and fully caught up on another (Three Dark Crowns). I also finally read my first Adam Silvera book this month, and I have no idea why I waited this long, because it was so good!
2. Year of Epic Reads:
-
- Challenge of the Month: A BOOK THAT CHALLENGES YOUR WAY OF THINKING!
Pick up a book that challenges your way of thinking. We know this one is a bit abstract, but it could be anything from a novel-in-verse (our currently weekly challenge), to a perspective that you otherwise haven’t read before. Maybe you just want to settle in with a really good mystery, and see if you can solve it before the main character!
Chosen Book: Again, but Better – Christine Riccio
I always have a hard time with contemporary, and the more day-to-day the subject matter, the less likely I am to read it. Again, but Better was a huge surprise in that sense. A last minute addition to my TBR after many months of second-guessing, this turned out to be a really good choice!
A book I would have loved to read when I was in university myself, this is so very relatable and such a fun read! For a debut, this was definitely very good.
