Book Tag: Quick Fire Fantasy

Hello readers! Today, I’m doing another book tag today. I came across this tag on Narrative Paradise recently, and you all know fantasy is my favourite genre, so I absolutely had to do it! This tag was created by Jo @ The Bookworm Dreamer.

5 Star Book

Too many to choose from for this one, but I’m going to go with one I’m planning to reread soon, Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare, the finale in The Dark Artifices series.

Always Going To Recommend

Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien has been the novel I measure all the fantasy novels I read for the past fourteen years, and that’s not changing anytime soon. I absolutely adore these books and routinely reread them and also re-watch the movies whenever I get the chance.

Own it, but haven’t read it yet

Do ARCs count? I’m going to say they do, because when it comes to fantasy novels I actually own, I never have a backlog. So one ARC I have pending that I’m really looking forward to reading is Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan.

Would Read Again

Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha Trilogy! On my list of rereads for this year, I’ve been meaning to come back to this series ever since I first read it. I’m particularly curious as to how the audiobooks for these are, and for Six of Crows too.

In Another World

Throne of Glass’ Erilea is one of my favourite fantasy worlds and as far as world building goes, I love how much detail is put into it over the span of the series. My favourite book in this series is undoubtedly Kingdom of Ash, but Queen of Shadows is a close second.

Back on Earth

I had to look back through quite a few of my shelves before I found this. Apparently I don’t read that many fantasy novels set on Earth. Anyway, Warcross has to be my favourite in this category, not only for the amazing plot, but also for all the futuristic technology that really speaks to the engineer in me.

I had a lot of fun doing this tag! What would be your picks for these prompts? Consider yourself tagged! Make sure to link back so I can read your answers and also credit the creator of the tag!

Ooh, I’ll be curious to see what you think of Ruthless Gods! The first one was a mixed bag for me; I’m wary but hopeful about the sequel.

Same! Until about 60%, I was sure I wasn’t going to like Wicked Saints, but it turned out to be really good! I can hardly wait to get started on this one, honestly – just trying to clear up some of the more urgent pending arcs and then I can sit down and binge read this one weekend 😄

Grishaverse especially, now that they’ve started work on the TV show! I’m really looking forward to seeing how that turns out!
