Book Tag: I Should Read That Book!

Hello readers! Today, I’m doing another book tag. I came across this tag on A Literary Latte and I’ve been trying to sort through my backlist recently and prioritize, so this is kind of perfect. This tag was created by Beth @ BooksNest.

A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

The Renegades series by Marissa Meyer has been recommended to me by so many people! I’ve even borrowed it from the library a few times but somehow haven’t managed to even start it yet.

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up

Dawn of Legends by Eleanor Herman has been on my TBR for nearly two years now, yet somehow I haven’t managed to get to this series finale – particularly since I enjoyed the previous three so much!

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet

The Warrior Queen by Emily R. King is the last book in The Hundredth Queen series, and I’ve started it about a million times, but have never been able to sit down long enough to finish it. It’s currently one of the books at the top of my backlist and hopefully I’ll be able to get to it this month.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read

Emma by Jane Austen is a classic that I’ve had on my TBR for some time, but I’ve learnt that classics take quite the time commitment for me, so I haven’t got around to it. It’s also one of the more popular classics and I’ve heard some pretty good reviews for it, so this is one that’s staying on my list for as long as it takes for me to get to it.

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

Holly Black’s The Folk of the Air series – I’ve seen this all over the place, but somehow have never felt all that motivated to pick it up. I vaguely remember trying The Cruel Prince a few years ago, but stopped in less than 50 pages, not even enough to count as a DNF. People who’ve read this, what did you think of it and would you say it’s worth another try?

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

I almost never do this, since I’m very particular about reading the book before watching any kind of adaptation, but I suppose A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin would fit this, since I only got up to book 3 before I started watching Game of Thrones.

A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

I’m not really a regular on Instagram, but I’ve seen The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon quite a few times – just waiting for the next long weekend when I can sit down with this mammoth read.

I had a lot of fun doing this tag! What would be your picks for these prompts? Consider yourself tagged! Make sure to link back so I can read your answers and also remember to credit the creator of the tag!
