Monthly Wrap Up | March 2020

March has been a pretty crazy month and the last two weeks especially have flown by.Β Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. We’re not on lockdown here in Toronto so far, but still trying to stay home as much as possible, which gets boring really quickly, but makes for a lot of added reading time at least.πŸ˜ƒΒ Here’s a chance to work on that no doubt enormous TBR pile! But in other news, I got through quite a number of books this month, including some childhood favourites.

Reading Challenge Updates

1. Epic Reads Reading Challenge:Β READ A BOOK THAT DEALS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA
Chosen Book: Tell Me No Lies (Follow Me Back #2) – A. V. Geiger
No one knows what happened to pop icon Eric Thorn. His Twitter account? Frozen. His cell phone? Cracked and bloody, buried in the snow.Β

Agoraphobic fangirl Tessa Hart knows the truth, but she’s finally left her #EricThornObsessed days behind. She has no intention of ever touching her Twitter app again. But Snapchat… That’s safer, right?
After months of living under the radar, Tessa emerges from hiding, forced to face the deadly consequences of her past. But in the interrogation room, answers only lead to more questions in the pulse-pounding conclusion to the Follow Me Back duology.
Another really hard one to find a good match for, since I read so few contemporary novels, and I remembered this one from my backlist after a lot of searching.

2. Fictional Hangover Book Club Challenge
MURDER SHE WROTE:Β Read a murder mystery written by a female author
Chosen book: All Your Twisted Secrets – Diana Urban
What do the queen bee, star athlete, valedictorian, stoner, loner, and music geek all have in common? They were all invited to a scholarship dinner, only to discover it’s a trap. Someone has locked them into a room with a bomb, a syringe filled with poison, and a note saying they have an hour to pick someone to kill … or else everyone dies.

Amber Prescott is determined to get her classmates and herself out of the room alive, but that might be easier said than done. No one knows how they’re all connected or who would want them dead. As they retrace the events over the past year that might have triggered their captor’s ultimatum, it becomes clear that everyone is hiding something. And with the clock ticking down, confusion turns into fear, and fear morphs into panic as they race to answer the biggest question: Who will they choose to die?
This might not be a murder mystery exactly, but it’s still a great whodunnit and a really fun and tense read.Β Read my full review here!

I’m trying to catch up on my reading too but it’s not going as well as yours. It seems that I don’t have enough time even when I’m staying home.
