12 Days of Christmas Book Tag
Blogmas Day 7
Welcome to Day 7 of Blogmas 2020! Today, I am doing the 12 Days of Christmas Book Tag which I found on The Sassy Book Geek while I was looking for Blogmas content to include this month! This is one of my favourite Christmas carols, so how could I not include it? This tag was originally created by Lizzie Loves Books.
On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: A partridge in a pear tree
The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favourite standalone?
So many to choose from! I’ll go with a recent favourite: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.
On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Two turtle doves
Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing?
Will-Tessa-Jem from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. It’s one of the few love triangles I’ve ever liked reading, and I’ve never really been able to choose either way!
On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Three french hens
In the spirit of threes, what is the best trilogy you’ve read?
Trying not to repeat any answers here, and it’s literally impossible for me to have an outright favourite, but The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien has always been a very special one for me.
On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Four calling birds
Since series usually consist of four or more books, what is your favorite series?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Five golden rings
One ring to rule them all! Who is your Favorite Villain/Antagonist?
The Darkling from the Grisha trilogy. His arc was what got me interested in villain origin stories in the first place!
On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Six geese a-laying
Creation is a beautiful thing. What is your favorite world/world-building?
To choose a recent one, I love the world-building in the Empirium series by Claire Legrand – there’s so much history and lore behind the magic that’s so much fun to read about! Garth Nix’s Abhorsen series is a close second though.
On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Seven swans a-swimming
Who needs seven swans when all it takes is one good animal sidekick? Who’s your favorite animal sidekick?
Hedwig from Harry Potter
On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Eight maids a-milking
Milk is so 18th century. Which book or series takes beverages/food to a whole new level?
Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, without a doubt, and not just that series but literally all her books! As a kid, I loved reading about the picnics in the mountains and midnight feasts in the school dorms with such delicious sounding food!
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Nine ladies dancing
Dancing is just one skill of a Lady! Who is your favorite kickass female lead?
Emma Carstairs from The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare
On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Ten lords a-leaping
How about your favorite leading lad?
Percy Jackson from Percy Jackson & the Olympians by Rick Riordan
On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Eleven pipers piping
What is your favorite book or bookish thing with musical influence? (It can be about music, reference music a lot etc.)
The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Twelve drummers drumming
Drum roll please…what is your favorite read of this year?
The Tower of Nero by Rick Riordan.
I’m not going to be tagging anyone specifically, but do feel free to do this tag if you like it. Make sure to link back so I can read your answers!
That was just fascinating! I can’t imagine trying to remember that many books I had read, LOL. Such cute prompts, too.

It actually takes me longer to do a tag than a full book review for the exact reason that I can never remember the books! A reading journal helps a lot with that though 😄 Thanks for stopping by!
