Hello readers, I’m back with another book tag today. It’s been a busy month so far, and I’m working on finishing two rather long reads at the moment, so I decided to do take a break from reviews for today. I came across this tag on Monogamist Reader and Throne of Glass is among my all time favourite series, so I just had to do this one.
Lysandra: A book with a cover change you loved

The Old Kingdom Series by Garth Nix. The new covers were a lot more simplistic, but they fit the books perfectly!
Abraxos: A book that’s better on the inside than it looks on the outside

The Storyteller’s Daughter by Victoria McCombs has a rather unremarkable cover, pretty standard for fairytale retellings – the story itself is anything but!
Erilea: A series with great world-building
So many to choose from here, but I’ll go with the Warcross series by Marie Lu.
Rifthold: A book that combines genres
The Passenger series by Alexandra Bracken is a great example of this. There’s some fantasy, time travel, a treasure hunt and so much more!
Damaris: A book based on/inspired by a myth/legend
So many options for this one too! I’ll go with one that I’ve been meaning to reread lately: The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.
Kaltain Rompier: A book with an unexpected twist
The Three Dark Crowns series by Kendare Blake is full of unexpected twists!
Assassin’s Keep: A book with an unreliable narrator
Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir undoubtedly has the most convoluted version of an unreliable narrator I’ve ever come across.
Asterin Blackbeak: A book that’s got SQUAD GOALS
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is always going to be my favourite for this one.
Terrasen: A book that feels like home
I thought I’d get through one tag without mentioning Lord of the Rings, but no other book really fits this for me. It’s among the earliest full length novels I can remember reading and is till this day, the standard I measure all fantasy novels by.
Aelin Ashryver Galathynius: A book with the power to destroy you
Kingdom of Ash is literally the definition of this tag, though technically I suppose I shouldn’t be using Throne of Glass books for this? Oh well.
Manon Blackbeak: A book that intimidated you
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon has been sitting on my shelf for over a year now and I still haven’t worked up the nerve to pick it up.
Rowan Whitethorn: A book that makes you swoon
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass is completely swoon-worthy!
Chaol Westfall: A book that challenged you to see things differently
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein is certainly one such book, as I now no longer have an aversion to historical fiction novels set too close to present day.
Fleetfoot: A book that you received as a gift
I received the first three Harry Potter books as a gift for either my 6th or 7th birthday.
Eye of Elena: A book you found right when you needed it
This is a really hard one because my reading list is generally very curated and I know what I’m reading for atleast the next couple of months at any time. The closest one though, would be Red, White and Royal Blue which turned out to be the perfect summer read I needed.
Dorian: A book that is secretly magical
Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer was much better than I initially thought it would be!
What are your reading habits? I’m not going to be tagging anyone, but do feel free to do this tag if you like it. Make sure to link back so I can read your answers!
Thank you for doing the tag!! I loved your answers!!
