Never Have I Ever…Read A Later Book In A Series Before Reading The First Book!
I’ve only done this once, and just like Kaya, it was with the Warriors series that I read way back in middle school. I accidentally picked up the third or fourth book in the series first and wondered for days why nothing made any sense 😄
Never Have I Ever…Burned A Book
I’ve most definitely never done this.
Never Have I Ever…Read A Book I Knew I Would Hate
It’s a no on this one. If a book doesn’t appeal to me, I won’t read it no matter how popular it is.
Never Have I Ever…Wrote A Fanfiction About My Favorite Books!
Sort of, I guess. I’ve written a few pieces, but never actually let anyone read them.
Never Have I Ever…Loved A Book When I Was Younger And Hated It When I Was Older
Not as far as I can remember. I was going through a Classics phase for several years when I was younger and those are the kind of books that are always great to read.
Never Have I Ever… Dressed Up As One Of My Favorite Literary Characters!
This is one I have never done, though I’d love to if the opportunity came up!
Never Have I Ever…Hated A Book By An Author I Love!
Hate is pretty strong, but there have definitely been books by my favourite authors that I have been less than satisfied with, like City of Bones, or
Never Have I Ever…Gone Into A Store To Buy One Book And Come Out With Many More!
Surprisingly enough, no. I go into a bookstore knowing exactly what I want to pick up.
Never Have I Ever Read The Ending Of A Book Before The Beginning
I’ve never actually read the ending, but I’ve certainly accidentally caught a few glimpses of the final pages when I flip through a book to see how long it is – never enough to really spoil anything though.
Never Have I Ever…Read A Book Without A Dust Cover
I do this all the time! I like to keep the dust jackets as new as possible so I read hardcovers without them on.
Never Have I Ever…Skim Read Half A Book
Rarely, but yes. I hate DNFing books, so I atleast try to get an idea of the rest of the story.
Never Have I Ever…Pretended To Read A Book I Haven’t
Nope. I’m always frank about what books I have and haven’t read.
Never Have I Ever…Saw The Movie Before Reading The Book
Does half a movie count? I watched half of The Two Towers before I realized I hadn’t yet read the books and promptly turned off the TV.
Never Have I Ever…Had A Book Boyfriend
Will Herondale. I don’t think this needs any other explanation – but do check out the upcoming discussion post on the topic that will be up on Friday!
Never Have I Ever…Read A History Or Anthropology Book For Fun!
I do this quite often! Being a historical fiction fan, I often find myself wanting to know more about the historical figures and events which inevitably leads me to a history book or two, most recently, one about the history of Venice.
Never Have I Ever…Picked Up A Book Based On The Cover Alone
Well, not only based on the cover, though it has been a major contributing factor at times.
Never Have I Ever…Bought Multiple Books In A Series Before Starting It
No, I usually only buy books I’ve already read and on the rare occasion when I pre-order something, it’s usually the finale of a series I’m already reading.
Never Have I Ever…Kept Reading A Series Even If I Didn’t Love The First Book
No examples come to mind at the moment, but I’ve definitely done this a couple of times. It’s usually when I’m not a huge fan of the first book, but I’m curious enough about the story that I want to know how it ends.
Never Have I Ever…Participated In A Readathon!
No, and I probably never will. I find them a little too stressful and if there are prompts involved, restrictive.
My prompt: Never Have I Ever…Bought Several Copies of the Same Book
And my answer would be: Yes, but in my defense, the collector’s edition was too pretty to not buy.
As always, I’m not going to be tagging anyone, but feel free to do this tag if you like it! Make sure to link back so I can read your answers!
This tag is really fun. We’re guilty of some of these.

thank you for doing the tag, i loved reading your answers🥺💜 okay but apparently they need to market the warriors series better because we’re all falling into that mid-series trap😂 and collectors’ editions are usually so gorgeous, willpower becomes impossible haha.

The collector’s editions are so hard to resist! I read all the special editions out of order and was so thoroughly confused until I read the other books 😊

This was such a fun one to read! I never read with dust jackets on either, always scared to ruin them! Thank you for sharing x

I agree, I only buy hardcovers for my absolute favourite books, so I’m extra careful with the dust jackets. Thanks for reading!

Oh this was so much fun! Burn a book?! Who on earth would do that? I’m horrified at the thought. Loved your answers!

Thanks! It’s so unthinkable that someone would even consider burning a book!
