Hello readers, hope you all had a great Halloween! October was a busy month for me between work and blogging, but as far as reading goes, I’m on track and got around to reading some of the most anticipated books on my TBR this year, which were just as amazing as expected! I actually stuck to my schedule all month long and I’m hoping it will continue through to the end of this year, because I have some really fun posts planned for the holiday season. November is going to be another hectic month, with the final few major releases of the year, but it’s also my birthday month, and so my favorite month of the year!

Book of the Month
Well, I just wasn’t able to decide and choose just one book of the month, so instead here are three reads from October that were all equally amazing.

“In your hands lies the gate of godhood—let none pass.”
Following the events in the Sleeping Palace and the revelation that Séverin alone is capable of playing the Divine Lyre, he now plays a dangerous game as he balances a delicate alliance with Ruslan, the Patriarch of the Fallen House to discover the location of the temple where the lyre can be played.
Meanwhile, Séverin’s seeming betrayal has driven a wedge in the team even as Laila, Enrique, Zofia and Hypnos make their way to Venice to find him with only the barest of clues. Laila has only ten days before she expires and the crew must set aside their doubts to reach the temple in time.
Playing the Divine Lyre in the temple promises divinity, which for Séverin, would be the power he needs to keep his friends safe. But will they be prepared to pay the price this apotheosis demands?

Pip is struggling with PTSD from the events of her last case and the way it ended. With the success of her podcast, Pip is no stranger to online threats, but she notices one repeated message from an anonymous sender that troubles her. She is weeks away from heading off to university when the threats escalate and as strange things start to happen around her, Pip realizes that someone is stalking her in real life. So she does what she does best – investigate.
But her findings lead her to the case of a local serial killer that was closed years ago with the culprit behind bars. An innocent man could be in prison, and if that’s true, Pip could be the killer’s next victim. The police aren’t inclined to help, so Pip is on her own yet again, and this time, it’s her own life on the line. As the situation grows more and more dangerous, it appears that her small town still has secrets to be revealed and this case is beginning to look like it ties back to her earlier investigations in the most unlikeliest of ways.
