Welcome to Day 6 of Blogmas 2021! I’m doing The Christmas Carol Book Tag today which I came across on Lauren Wade’s channel. A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite books to read around this time of year, so I’ve been looking forward to doing this tag for a long time!
The Ghost of Christmas Past – A book that was a childhood favorite
I used to love Roald Dahl’s novels, particularly Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda.
The Ghost of Christmas Present – A recent book that you think will become one of your all time favorites
Not counting new books from already ongoing series, Iron Widow, Realm Breaker and Dark Rise all seem very promising!
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come – A book coming out next year that you’re most excited about
I’m still putting together my 2022 TBR, but so far, I’m most excited about Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare.
Bah, Humbug! – A book that everyone else loves that you just can’t stand
Graceling would be one I guess. It was such a struggle to get through just the first book and I never picked up the rest.
Bob Cratchit – An old dependable that you always recommend
Any of the classics. I’ve been rereading a lot of the Greek plays this year, so probably something like The Odyssey or The Aenead.
Tiny Tim – An underhyped book that you think deserves more love
I always recommend The Age of Darkness series to everyone. I just finished the last book, Into the Dying Light and it was such an amazing read!
Today? Why it’s Christmas Day! – What’s a book that always gets you in the mood for Christmas (apart from A Christmas Carol)?
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe from The Chronicles of Narnia by C S Lewis has always felt like a perfect Christmas read to me.
The Muppet Christmas Carol – Your favourite film adaptation of a book
I’ve been very impressed with the Netflix adaptation of Shadow and Bone so far!
I’m not going to be tagging anyone, but feel free to do this tag if it interests you – I’d love to hear your answers for these questions!
This was a fun tag to read. I completely understand why you couldn’t get through Graceling. I think it’s a very different writing style and it’s not appealing for all readers.

Thanks for reading! Agreed, I think it was the writing style that didn’t work for me with Graceling.
