Monthly Wrap Up | November 2022

Hello readers, and welcome to my November wrapup! I was still stuck in an on and off reading slump this month, so I decided to stick entirely to mood reading. A good thing too, because where recent months have flown by, November practically crawled by for me and revisiting some old favorites was just the thing to keep my mood up. I’ve also been working on my 2023 TBR, and it should be up closer to the new year. December’s certainly going to be an interesting month given that I’m close to 30 books away from my target for the year, but I’m anticipating a lot of reading time so fingers crossed – I might yet reach my goal! Let’s take a look at my November!

8 Books

2096 Pages

Goodreads Challenge Progress: 122/150

Before I get started with my November stats, a few announcements!

As some of you may have noticed, I’ve significantly slowed down my blogging schedule over the past month or two. I’m consciously trying to reduce my recreational screen time in the interest of my health since my work also involves extended periods of looking at a screen. So for atleast the next couple of months, I’m going to be taking it a little easy on the blogging front and I’ll be only doing two book reviews a week along with WWW Wednesday and Let’s Talk Bookish.

Secondly, I am not going to be doing Blogmas this year for the above reason, but also because I will be travelling for the better part of December with minimal internet access and there’s no way I can keep up with daily posts. However, I do have several posts scheduled over the course of the next three weeks, so I hope you’ll enjoy the content even though it’s not particularly Christmassy this year. Happy holidays!

Book of the Month

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Josefa, a thief, has set her sights on her grandest prize yet – the Rubaiyat, a priceless jewel encrusted book – that will be sailing aboard the RMS Titanic. But a heist this big takes more than one person and she gathers a group of girls with varied talents – Violet, an actress, Hinnah, an acrobat, and Emilie, an artist.

The only thing they have in common is that they are all seeking a better life than the one they are currently leading in Dublin and the Rubaiyat is an opportunity at that. Stealing the book is easier said than done however as Josefa is keeping dangerous secrets and with her pursuit of an old grudge the smallest of mistakes could threaten the plan – and that’s not even considering the tragedy about to befall the ship that they are all unaware of.
